CityNet is the largest association of urban stakeholders committed to sustainable development in the Asia Pacific region based in Malaysia. It connects actors, exchanges knowledge, and builds commitment to establish more sustainable and resilient cities. Recently, CitiNet installed bike lanes in the City Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
My role was to create a video to promote the news of these blue-lane bike lanes, which can help raise awareness for a more sustainable and livable city.
The client provided a script and storyboard. Based on that, I developed scenes with illustrations and decided its overall tone and manner. I decided the main color palette as vivid blue due to the blue cycle lane, delivering a refreshing and positive eco-friendly mood.
I animated the illustrations in the video. The original character illustrations are created by author, Tran Mau Tri Tam. I corrected colors and styles of the characters to unify tone and manner of the video.
